What can I do in Omaha, Nebraska ?
Omaha provides a wide range of free astonishing activities whether indoors or outdoors. You will never get out of things to do free if you are in Omaha. Mormon Pioneer Cemetery, Girl’s and Boy’s Town, birthplace of Malcolm X and Gerald Ford and Old Market are just examples of what Omaha can offer without charge.
There are over 600 Mormons buried in the Mormon Pioneer Cemetery. The story is that the Mormons are traveling the Pioneer Trail in an extremely cold weather in the winter of 1864. There are over 70,000 Mormons who utilized the road between 1864 and 1869, and the Trail stretched from Illinois to Salt Lake City. The cemetery have landmarks and monuments in the honor of the pioneer Mormons and can be visited and viewed free in Omaha.
Girl’s and Boy’s Town is a facility that takes care for and assists abandoned, neglected or abused children and a place that anyone should not miss when visited Omaha. It started in 1917 as the Home of Father Flanagan’s Boys. The movie Boys Town where Spencer Tracy played the role as Father Flanagan was released in 1938 and souvenir from the movie are available for watching at the Boy’s and Girl’s Town. The town coordinates with schools and community organization and has gardens, a campus and a hall of history.
If you want to feel like walking and go back to history, you can visit the Old Market in downtown Omaha. This 12-block shopping district is made with old brick streets and historic buildings. The NRHP or the National Registry of Historic Places knows it as one of the world’s best historic districts. This is also the place where Chamber of Commerce organize their walking tours.
Rose garden and Gerald Ford Birth Site remembers and honors the 38th US president who was born in Omaha on July 14, 1938. The site highlights a replica of the childhood home of the late president and the Rose Garden is for the memory of his late wife, Betty. Malcolm X birth site honors the African-American activist from Omaha. Even though there is only a marker stating that Malcolm X’s birth site is on the site, it is recognized by the National Registry of Historic Places.

A computer starts somewhere. It starts with a bios and a CPU and a motherboard ect… When we code that computer to pump out a random number, what makes it pick the number it picks? Exactly the same computer sits beside it’s identical and they both pick different 1st random numbers. Is the Bios fed a seed during construction and every new bios gets a different seed? Those of us that have worked with random numbers know what a seed is. So why does my computer give a number between 100 and 1000 as 756, but yours gives, 537? Is that not a form of intelligence beyond that of artificial? We gave the computer the ability to give random numbers, but what makes it give or pick that random number when in reality it has no ‘will’ to decide. Why 3 and not 4, when it favours nothing? Even with a seed, what makes it choose 5 with this seed but 7 with that seed? Where in the ruels of life does it say that, with this seed equaling 756395837 in that computer, 1st random # will be this?.
